Music Sales Corp. Appoints Jeffrey Duncan as Executive Vice President in Charge of West Coast Operations

Music Sales Corp., part of a leading international music publishing group, announces the appointment of Jeffrey Duncan as Executive Vice President. Duncan will be in charge of managing all aspects of the company’s west coast operations. His duties commenced at the company’s Santa Monica office on January 1st 2019.

Jeffrey Duncan has had a long career in music publishing as a senior manager at BMG and then General Manager at Stage 3. In 2010 Duncan founded Musicology Inc., a boutique publishing company focused on valuing and brokering catalogs. He also provided high-end consulting to law firms, estates, and directly to artists (including Tom Waits and Prince), while working with clients like Jalma Music Inc., the Teena Marie Estate, NPG Music Publishing, and BMG Rights Management.

Of his new appointment Duncan says, “The richness and breadth of the Music Sales catalog of over 400,000 evergreen songs cannot be overstated as it ranges from classic pop songs such as ‘The Twist’ and ‘Runaround Sue’ to standards like ‘Angel Eyes’ and ‘April in Paris.’ It also includes classical works like Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio for Strings.’ I look forward to representing this diverse and growing catalog as well as over one-hundred living composers and songwriters worldwide,” he adds.

Tomas Wise, Music Sales Corp. CEO, welcomes the new appointment saying, “We are delighted to have Jeffrey join our management team and look forward to benefiting from his wealth of experience in music publishing and rights acquisition to grow the business. I know he will provide strong leadership for our LA team.”
