Throughout pop history there have been good guys and bad guys. For every ‘Pop Idol’ style act there was an anarchist. For every pretty boy there was a Joe Strummer.
All the artists on the CD had something extra about them, and didn’t need to reply on Reality TV shows to sell records. From the 'High Numbers' (aka The Who) in the sixties, through to 'The Clash' and 'The Damned' in the seventies, these punks, mods, skins, rude boys and rockers had something to say, and no-one would stop them saying it.
