In 2002 Joby's music for the BT Broadband advertising campaign was nominated for an MPA Music in Advertising Award. He has also written music for Walkers Sensation crisps, Cadbury’s Creme Egg and The Scottish Health Authority.
Recordings
His first CD, The Dying Swan: Music for One to Seven Players was released by Black Box Records in 2002 and his album, Once Around the Sun produced as a result of his residency with Classic FM was in 2005. A successful partnership with Nigel Short's choir Tenebrae produced the work Path of Miracles based on The Pilgrimage to Santiago. The piece was released to critical acclaim by Signum in 2006. In high demand as a pop arranger, Joby worked with The Divine Comedy, Travis, Tom Jones, Paul McCartney, Air and producers Nigel Godrich and Richard Russell.
