“Tainted Love” by Gloria Jones used in “Mary Queen of Charity Shops” on BBC2
Mary Portas attempts to transform her local charity shop into a high-street contender in a new series on BBC2 “Mary Queen of Charity Shops”. Gloria Jones’s “Tainted Love” (Campbell Connelly) was used in the programme.

The new television series by “League of Gentlemen” creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton starts on BBC2 on Saturday 20 June 2009. “Psychoville” is a seven-part comedy-mystery-thriller about five bizarre characters who share a dreadful secret.
 
The story of legendary Joe Meek is told in the new film “Telstar” out on 19 June 2009
“Telstar” tells the story of Joe Meek, the world’s first independent record producer who enjoyed phenomenal early success before bad luck, depression, heartbreak and paranoia forced him into murder and suicide. Meek was published by Ivy Music (now through Music Sales) and had a string of hits through the 1960s.
