Music Sales’ American companies G Schirmer Inc and Associated Music Publishers controls the work of some of America’s most eminent composers, such as John Adams, Samuel Barber, Elliott Carter, John Corigliano, Tan Dun, and Gian Carlo Menotti.

The 20,000-strong Sparta Florida catalogue comprises mainstream popular hits, blues originals and film & TV music. However, it is most famous for its astonishing selection of ska and reggae songs. Virtually every significant Jamaican artist has recorded a Sparta Florida track, from Bob Marley and Dandy Livingstone to John Holt and Horace Andy. Sparta Florida songs have also found favour with many contemporary R & B, Hip Hop and Dancehall acts, who have covered and sampled anthems such as ‘Man Next Door’ and ‘I’m Still In Love With You’ to great commercial success.

Music Sales also controls the catalogues of Tempo Music and the Embassy Music Corporation.
