Edition Wilhelm Hansen was founded in 1857 and has since become the biggest music publisher in Scandinavia. It was acquired by Music Sales in 1988. Our catalogue is a valuable part of Danish musical history, as underscored by the fact that the archives of the Wilhelm Hansen family are stored at the Royal Library in Copenhagen, for the benefit of all.
There is an equal emphasis on contemporary composition, pop music and educational and historical publications, while our long tradition of publishing songbooks continues into the 21st century.
